Located on California Street in San Francisco and proclaimed the "Oldest Restaurant in California," the history seeps through the worn wooden bar top. When you walk into Tadich, you can imagine turn of the century authors, artists and business people sitting at the bar and enjoying a drink and a meal. The Clam Chowder (New England Style) is hearty and warming. The Petrale Sole Filet is fresh and delicious and my personal favorite (and I have never seen it on a menu anywhere else!) is the Calamari Steak. It's consistent texture, flavorful garlic and butter sauce and generous portion of vegetables make it a meal I look forward to (and think about a lot!) on my visits to San Francisco. This is always one of our first stops upon arriving in town!

Tadich is a San Francisco staple. The interiors take you back in time and the service is very welcoming and professional. The ambiance is versatile enough for a business meeting or a night out. There is so much on the menu to choose from. We ordered the crab cocktail and chowder for starters. They were perfect. We ordered Branzino and Cioppino for our mains which were amazing. Visiting this restaurant is a must when in SF!

During our visit to San Francisco, we stopped by Tadich Grill for a bar experience that truly stood out. The atmosphere was a charming blend of historic elegance and bustling energy, making it the perfect spot for an evening drink and bite to eat. The gin martinis at Tadich Grill are exceptional. Expertly crafted with just the right balance of botanicals, they were smooth, crisp, and perfectly chilled. Each sip was a testament to the bartender's skill and attention to detail. Equally impressive was the fried calamari. Crispy and golden on the outside, tender and flavorful on the inside, it was served with a delicious dipping sauce that complemented the dish perfectly. The calamari was fresh and expertly prepared, making it one of the highlights of our visit. Overall, Tadich Grill offers a top-notch bar experience in San Francisco. From the outstanding gin martinis to the delectable fried calamari, every aspect of our visit was memorable.

Tadich Grill is awesome - it's the oldest restaurant in California. My favorite food there is the Cioppino - when you're having it there you are having a San Francisco invented dish in a historical location. The service is amazing - our waiter was very nice and very kind he even let us take the menu home. The ambience is very old and charming - there's a giant bar and it's very unique. My whole family liked it and I think you should try it if you haven't been. It's also the third oldest restaurant in the United States.
